JUDGING WELLS BY THE WATERS FLOWING OUT OF THEM;
There are many enumerated points of discernment of spiritual matters in the bible. One very important, and more common form of discernment or the testing of spirits, also more commonly ignored, is the wells, or springs flowing out of the spirit of an individual. Also refered to as the "vibe", "intuition," or "feeling,"etc, this is one of the most commonly available form of spiritual gift in men. This discernment happens on a spiritual level and is therefore easy to ignore.
Don't be quick to quench your thirst on strange sources of water/cisterns(Prov 5:15). This relates to impartation of spiritual power. Take time to test the spirits of men you decide to associate with, and draw borders respectfully, according to what discerned. If a person is prickly, avoid arguments with them for example. The fullness of ones spirit, be it righteousness, or violence, will accompany the words(John 7:38; Prov 15:4.) One full of the works of darkness, for example, like anger, will tend to bruise with words(Prov 12: 18, prov 10:16)It is out of the corruptness of the Spirit such(Eph 4: 21.) flows out. The person in question is probably under demonic influence, also referd to as scorpions , thorns and bristles, refering to their pricky personalities. Sometimes though this happens with even righteous people. It shows they have a negative spiritual power or spirit they need to deal with.
Ungodly spirits know exactly how to quence the flow of positive outflows like joy, peace, love, power(fruits of the Spirit of God). Be more careful if such a one can do it using the word of God. In Christ is NO Condemnation(Rom 8:1). Some have vibe flowing out of them that may make you cringe inside, a feeling of "wierd fellow, even creepy." Thats your spirit seeing something you cant. We discern by the spirit. What we see outwardly is shallower. Use diverse tests to avoid ruling out of otherwise O.K people.
